Hi, I’m Kiona!

Born amidst England's historic charm, raised in the rhythmic heart of Trinidad and Tobago, and now embracing the endless sunshine of Florida, my life's journey is anything but ordinary. It's this rich tapestry of experiences that fuels my passion for sustainability, my knack for creative problem-solving, and my unwavering commitment to empathy—putting myself in others' shoes to drive genuine innovation.

I’m a soon-to-be graduate with a Master’s in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of Florida, where I also received my Bachelor’s in Information Systems. My time at UF has been an amazing blend of challenges turned opportunities. From launching a sustainable game-day clothing company to creating a fix for the privacy-forbidding paper-thin walls in my college apartment, I've always been guided by one mantra: Every problem is a gateway to a creative solution.

Professionally, my intern experiences at Adobe and Gap as a Program Manager and Product Manager, respectively, have honed my skills in leading with empathy and innovation. These roles, alongside founding Syc Apparel, underscore my dedication to sustainable fashion and problem-solving.

Beyond my professional life, I enjoy interior design, running, traveling, and scouring Facebook Marketplace and my local thrift stores for unique finds. My journey's blend of culture, challenge, and creativity shapes my view of the world, driving me to seek sustainable, innovative solutions in every endeavor.

If my journey resonates with you or sparks even a flicker of curiosity, I'd be thrilled to connect. Let's chat!
